Got a very lovely thank-you card today from my grandmother-in-law, whose 90th birthday we celebrated last weekend. This note, like many others of late, included a goodie from her extensive family archives.

I believe that she has kept every note, letter, or card she’s ever received, along with every newspaper clipping featuring a family member and many many other items of interest. The staggering thing is that she remembers what she has and can find it — and she’s willing to share! Along with remembering the family stories, she actually provides documentation. An amazing woman.
